Which one of us has just woken up?
The weather outside is great, would you like to go to the park? “Maybe I’ll stay here, just for a little bit longer,” he answers.
Really? “Yes, really, leave me alone.”
I attach the lead and slowly, one by one, his legs start to slide of the bed. Whippets take time. I wrap him in the warm Dogsnug coat and we make our way pass the crooked tree and over the frozen ground.
We play with the ball, make our rounds and head back home on this colourless morning. Back to the sofa and back to sleep.
