The Air Carrier started as a puppy carrier, designed when we brought Neo, our whippet, home and needed something safe and comfortable before he could safely walk whilst waiting for vaccinations.

But it was our dachshund customers who shaped what it became. They kept telling us the same thing: no carrier on the market properly supported their dog's spine. So I went back to the design.

After months of testing: different base materials, widths, rigidity levels; I found the right combination. A base wide and firm enough to keep any dog stable and supported, no matter how long their spine relative to their legs.

We also learned that positioning matters. Worn with the base above your hips, there's less motion, which means a calmer, more balanced dog. And the soft, quiet material worn close to your heart? For anxious dogs, it becomes their den.

With your help, we continue to evolve it, smaller jumps, same curiosity.

The latest addition? A bright fluorescent paracord instead of a dark one, for the safety carabiner.

Most carriers are designed for generic small dogs. Dachshunds are not generic — they have a long spine, a deep chest, and a predisposition to IVDD that affects one in four of them.

A carrier that curves their spine isn't keeping them safe. It's making things worse.

The Fluffy Carrier

For the days when comfort is everything. Autumn walks, winter commutes, lazy Sunday mornings when your dog just wants to be close and warm. The Fluffy carrier wraps them in soft, cloud-like material — inside and out — like being tucked into your favourite blanket.

    Most dogs need a little time — especially adults who've never been carried, or anxious dogs wary of anything new. That's not a flaw in the carrier, that's just dogs. Introduce it gradually at home before your first trip out. Let them sniff it, sit in it with treats, get comfortable at their own pace. Most dogs get there completely.

    Absolutely — walking and exercise are the best things for any dog's back. This carrier isn't a replacement for walks. It's for the moments when walking isn't the right option: a crowded tube platform, a busy shop, a long day out when they've already done their miles, or a journey where they could get stepped on. Even our 12-year-old whippet Kai — walked daily on the fells — needs a little help on the uphills sometimes. That's not laziness. That's knowing your dog.our customers.

    Yes — the strap adjusts fully and the cross-body wear means it sits comfortably on different body types. Many of our customers share it between partners. Takes about ten seconds to adjust.

    We make everything in our Stoke Newington workshop in small batches, no overproduction, no waste.

    Our Air Carrier is made from recycled nylon, recovered from ocean plastic. Solid brass fittings because they last. A design meant to outlive the trend. And if your dog outgrows it, it works as your own bag.

    We pay our makers a fair wage. Always have. Because good products should be made well, all the way through.
