When the weather starts to get damp and chilly and you’re bundled up in your finest seasonal fashions, make sure your faithful hound isn’t feeling the cold either by treating them to one of Dogsnug’s rainproof dog jumpers. Pet owners have told us how much they (and their doggos) love our dog fleece jumpers so we’ve gone a couple of paw prints further and added a water repellent version to our range to help you keep your dog protected from rain and wind.

The rainproof dog jumper comes in the same cut as the regular jumper but is made from a breathable, water-repellent fabric. Of course, it’s just as stylish and has the same cosy, fleece inner lining to ensure that Fido not only stays dry but warm too.  As with the rest of Dogsnug’s products, our dog jumpers, for large and small dogs alike are designed by a fashion designer who just loves helping man’s (and woman’s) best friend be the hippest dog on the block.

Dogsnug’s rainproof dog fleece jumpers are:

  1. Rain and wind proof: your pup will stay dry and cozy as the winter days draw in
  2. Cosy: the warm, soft and stretchy fleece lining ensures maximum snugability, perfect for wrapping up warm at night
  3. Comfy:  thanks to flat seams, the water-repellent jumpers won’t chafe your dog’s skin
  4. Rugged: we double stitch seams to make them stronger and last longer
  5. High performance: we use breathable, technical fabrics that are made to last, plus high quality fleece that won’t pill after a few wears
  6. Low maintenance: our rainproof dog jumpers can be machine washed at 30ºC
  7. Cool: designed with an eye on human trends in a range of awesome colours!

Look cool, stay warm and dry

Our handcrafted dog sweaters have been designed to fit dogs of different breeds perfectly, no matter what their shape or size. The patterns are cut three dimensionally so that the fabric follows the contours of your pup, and all our high grade fabrics are the same as those used to make hi-tech sports and outerwear for humans.

And because we know that some dogs aren’t thrilled about getting dressed up to venture out for a romp, we’ve made the waterproof jumpers sleeveless - making them super easy to put on and take off even the wriggliest of hairy hounds.  Plus, for added comfort and flexibility when your dog’s out and about, we’ve added stretchy ribbing on the edges, and around the neck and leg holes.  You can also fit a harness over the top of the jumper.

    How to use

We also understand not all doggies are huge fans of getting dressed so we’ve designed the jumpers without sleeves, making them a piece of cake to put on and take off.  They also have stretchy ribbings at the neck, legs and edges for extra comfort and ease of movement. At Dogsnug we make functional products from highly technical (human!) outerwear and sportswear fabrics that allow your dog to be more comfortable and therefore happier.

    Sizes and Shapes

How to find the right size waterproof dog jumper:

    • Sighthound style
For the curvy ones: perfect for the slim and sporty breeds and shaped to give extra space on the chest and curve at back. Sighthounds, lurchers, whippets and greyhounds will love these.
    • Dachshund style
For the long and low: dachshunds and corgis and other breeds that like to keep a low profile will fit this shape like a glove.
    • Classic style

Whether a more slender breed such as a Jack Russell or barrel chested buddies like pugs and Boston terriers, the classic silhouette is the one to go for.

Our London-based designer has a keen eye for human fashion trends and colours, so all you need to do is choose your four legged friend’s favourite colour (or failing that – your favourite colour!) and you’ll be all set to brighten up the day, no matter how gloomy the weather.

      • Gunmetal Grey - for dogs who like to project a slightly more serious image
      • Flaming Red – for pups who like to live life on the wild side
      • Aubergine – for doggos who put fashion trends first

The handmade jumpers come with a variety of trims in fun fluorescent colours, so you can really stamp you, and your pet’s, own identity on it. Banish the winter blues and keep your top dog cosy and dry this winter with a Dogsnug water-repellent dog jumper!

I’m not very good with measurements

If you click on the size chart you can find the standard measurement charts and an easy to follow diagram showing how to measure your dog for a coat. However, if you still a little unsure, you are most welcome to contact us and we will be happy to arrange a Skype meeting to help you measure your VIP (very important pup).

How do i know that the colour I see on the screen is the same colour of the product?

That’s a tricky one, as it depends on your screen calibration. This said, we try to make a vivid description of the colours when we talk about our products. If this still keeps you guessing, we are happy to send you a set of fabric samples so you can make a much more informed choice.

      Will it fit right?

Our designer and pattern cutter has years of experience in the fashion industry, and is obsessive with getting the fit right. Each size has been tried and tested on lots of dogs of different breeds to make sure that the shape responds to their body peculiarities. This is specially important if you have a sighthound or a dachshund as their body is seriously different to that of other dogs.

How do I know if the quality is really good?

Your trust in our products is very important to us, and we think quality is at the core of trust. To guarantee a high level of quality, we test every product in a variety of materials in order to chose the best performing ones. Although this is a costly process, it gives us the piece of mind that you will be receiving a product that will not let you down.

      It’s a bit expensive

We want you to enjoy a high quality product which is unique and will last, and unfortunately this does not come cheap. All our products are hand-made in England and we pride ourselves of paying a fair retribution to the talented craftsmen we collaborate with. We only work with high quality materials, picked for their high performance and durability. We also make sure that we prototype and test our products until we are satisfied that the quality of material and of finishes is excellent.

My dog likes to play rough, will the coats be strong enough to last?

The Dogsnug coats protects the skin of your dog from sharp branches and even teeth marks. We know because we put these to test with our Kai who is quite a rough player. Being a whippet, his favourite game with his other whippet friends is to chew each others bodies whilst running at lightning speed. The outer layer of our coats are made of ripstop, a material designed not to rip if caught on a branch or any other sharp object. To top this up the ripstop is bonded to a 3D spacer mesh which structure is designed to bounce and move when stressed, giving the extra protection you need for your very special pooch. The strap is elastic so it keeps the coat in place whilst allowing mobility and stretch.

The sizing charts are only a reference, as every dog is beautifully unique. The charts are based on research on different dog shapes, and we have developed three styles of products to suit them all (Classic, Sighthound and Dachshund). The products not only take into account the shape of the dogs but also the way they run and play. For this reason the trims we use for different breeds may vary.

For most dogs the most important measurement is the back length. However if your dog is a wide chested dog(think Boston Terrier, Bulldog...) then the main measurement should be the Chest Width.
